CITIZEN PARTICIPATION / PUBLIC HEARING
The City of Eagle Pass will conduct a public hearing requesting citizen participation regarding the Texas Department of Agriculture’s FAST Grant at 5:05 p.m. on August 17, 2020 at City Hall located at 100 S. Monroe Street, Eagle Pass Texas regarding the submission of an application to the Texas Department of Agriculture for a Texas Community Development Block Grant Program (TxCDBG) grant. The purpose of this meeting is to allow citizens an opportunity to discuss the citizen participation plan, the development of local housing and community development needs, the amount of TxCDBG funding available, all eligible TxCDBG activities, and the use of past TxCDBG funds. The City encourages citizens to participate in the development of this TxCDBG application and to make their views known at this public hearing. Citizens unable to attend this meeting may submit their views and proposals to the City Manager, George Antuna, at the address above or via email to george.antuna@eaglepasstx.us. La ciudad de Eagle Pass, llevará acabo una audiencia pública el Lunes, 17 de Agosto, 2020 a las 5:05 P.M. en el Ayuntamiento, ubicado en 100 S. Monroe St., Eagle Pass, Texas 78852. El propósito de la audiencia es en referencia a la sumisión de una solicitud al Departamento de Agricultura de Tejas, FAST Grant . Los temas que se discutirán serán el desarrollo comunitario, la cantidad de financiamiento disponible, de todas las actividades elegibles, el uso pasado de los fondos, la cantidad estimada de fondos propondrán actividades que satisfagan el objetivo nacional de beneficiar a las personas de ingresos bajos a moderados, los planes para minimizar los desplazamientos de personas y ayudar a las personas realmente desplazadas como resultado de actividades asistidas con fondos. La Ciudad pide a los beneficiarios de este proyecto, así como a otros ciudadanos interesados a participar en la audiencia. Los ciudadanos que no puedan asistir a esta reunión pueden enviar sus opiniones y comentarios al Gerente de la Ciudad, George Antuna, en la dirección anterior o por correo electrónico a george.antuna@eaglepasstx.us.
